The qPod cell provides users of SF-61DX2 systems with the addition of a quench-flow capability.
This easy to fit cell and associated plumbing allows for the recovery of quenched sample. Taking advantage of the systems time delay method in a double mixing arrangement, aged sample volume can be quenched, thus stopping the further progress of the reaction and the volume is collected for analysis.
The benefits of this include, the opportunity to apply other analytical techniques to sample evaluation, the ability to isolate reaction intermediates and products directly and the convenience of working under anaerobic conditions in the context of rapid quench-flow.
